Grad Meeting

There will be a very important meeting for parents of graduates on Tuesday May 12, 2009 at 7:00 pm in the Bishop Murray High School Cafeteria.

GRADUATION 2009 INFORMATION

Below is a list of information you need for grad.

Please note that this information can also be accessed at bishopmurrayhighschoolgrad.blogspot.com.

  1. Graduation will be on Wednesday, June 24, 2009

Ø An outline of the day will follow at a later date.

  1. Graduation Fees are $80.00. This will cover dinner, grad photos, gown rental, retreat, and decorations for the graduates.

Ø Please Note: All money is to be paid to the office

Ø Anyone is welcome to attend mass and the grad ceremonies at the church, it is free. Tickets must be purchased for the graduation dinner; they are $38.00 each.

Ø Graduation Fees, Dinner Tickets and SCHOOL FEES must be paid by JUNE 1, 2009

  1. If you have outstanding schools fees, they will be paid before your grad fees.

Ø For example: if you owe $50 in school fees and you come and pay your $80 grad fees; the $50 school fees will be paid first and only $30 will go towards your grad fees.

  1. Dinner tickets will be sold this year and you must have your dinner ticket at the dinner. They will be collected

  1. We will have a Graduation Tea with Jubilee Residence; it is strongly recommended that all grads attend this. Date to be announced.

  1. Graduation Photos are tentatively booked for May 21 & 22. More information will follow on this.

Ø Girls, please note that if you are getting your hair done, let the hairdresser know that you will be wearing a graduation cap.

  1. The Graduation Retreat will be on Friday, June 5, 2009. We will meet at the school at 9:00 am and we will all take a bus over to Queen’s House.

Ø THIS IS A MUST TO ATTEND. YOU CAN NOT ATTEND GRAD CEREMONIES IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND THE RETREAT

  1. We need photos of the graduates for our grad video. We need 3 photos; 1 baby, 1 child and 1 teen picture if possible.

Ø Please bring these photos ASAP it takes a lot of time to create the video and can not be left to the last moment.

Ø Photos can be dropped off at the office or given to Ms. Wright in the grade 12 homeroom.

Graduation Day- June 26, 2008

Our Lady of Lourdes Church ( Bishop Murray High School ) and The Radisson Hotel

1:00 p.m. Graduands gather at Church to get Caps and Gowns, dress and prepare for Group Picture.
2:00 p.m. Mass begins (***Attendance at mass is mandatory for all graduates)
3:00 p.m. Awards Ceremony begins
5:30 p.m. Graduates assemble at The Radisson Hotel, for Grand Entrance and Banquet.
6:00 p.m. Graduation Banquet
7:00 p.m. Short Program

We hope that this schedule will allow you to plan for any family activities, personal pictures, and hairdressing appointments

Grad Fee The Grad fee has been tentatively set at $95. This fee is designed to cover the
following expenses: grad photo sitting fee, gown rentals, decorations one banquet ticket and the Grad retreat.

Important dates
- Next meeting Tuesday, March 4 at 9:10 in Room 49
- Grad photos will be taken on Tuesday, May 27 starting at 9:30 in 10 minute time slots
- Grad Retreat (mandatory for all Grads) is on Thursday, June 5 from 9:00 2:30
